[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] Maeil Holdings and Maeil Dairy have awarded congratulatory funds and pledged to support Park Tae-jun, the gold medalist in the men's 58kg Taekwondo category at the 2024 Paris Olympics, with protein supplements and health products through the next LA Olympics.
Park Tae-jun’s father is an employee at M’s Bakers, a subsidiary of Maeil Dairy.
At the 2024 Paris Olympics held at the Grand Palais in Paris, Park Tae-jun won the gold medal in men's 58kg Taekwondo, marking the first gold medal in this category for South Korea since the 2016 Rio Olympics. This is the country's first-ever gold medal in the men's 58kg category.
Maeil Dairy had previously supported Park Tae-jun by announcing his participation via internal email on the day of the Olympics and promised their support. They also extended their congratulations upon his gold medal win.
On the 12th, Maeil Dairy invited Park Tae-jun’s father, Park Ok-cheon, to their headquarters and awarded him a congratulatory fund along with approximately 60 million won worth of Selects protein supplements and health products. This support is intended to last through to the next LA Olympics in four years. The celebration was attended by Cho Seong-hyung, CEO of M’s Bakers, as well as other executives and employees.
