[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] Lotte Duty Free has launched a voluntary retirement program as part of its emergency management strategy. The program, which is open for applications until the 30th of this month, targets employees who are 43 years or older with at least 10 years of service or those who have been in the same position for a long time.

Eligible employees will receive severance payments equivalent to 32 months of their regular wages, along with a reemployment support fund of 20 million won. Additionally, employees with children currently in university will receive up to 10 million won per child (for a maximum of three children) to cover educational expenses.

For employees nearing the end of their careers, a separate honorary retirement program will be available.
