[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) has signed a contract to export aircraft structures for civil aviation.
According to industry sources on the 28th, KAI signed a new contract with Boeing on the 27th to produce and supply major gas structures for five types of landings. The five models are B767, B767-2C, B777, B777X and B787.
The project period is from this year to 2030 and is worth 130 billion won.
KAI plans to diversify items and customers by taking advantage of the global supply chain reorganization triggered by COVID-19 and participate in international joint development of aircraft to secure civilian aircraft element technology.
