[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] Intellian Technologies, a manufacturer of satellite communication antennas, announced on the 21st that it has signed a supply contract worth 29 billion won with Canadian telecommunications provider Telesat for the development of large ground gateway antennas and initial supply quantities. This amount corresponds to approximately 9.5% of the company’s revenue from the previous year. The contract is set to run until December 31, 2027.

Telesat plans to launch 298 advanced satellites by 2026 to provide next-generation satellite communication services to global corporations, telecommunications companies, and government/military facilities. Intellian’s large antennas will be utilized in this initiative. Ground gateway antennas are essential devices that connect satellites to terrestrial networks within low Earth orbit satellite communication systems.

Differentiated technological capabilities are required to continuously track moving satellites and maintain signal integrity.
