[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Hankook Technology announced on the 30th that it has decided to withdraw its merger with Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Construction.
Hankook Technology said, "In the process of the merger, there was an important change in the external market environment and business environment of Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd.
After carefully reviewing this, the board of directors decided that the withdrawal of the merger would help enhance corporate value and strengthen competitiveness."
