[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Hyundai Rotem announced on the 28th that it has won a 710 billion won high-speed train project from the Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL).
The amount of orders received this time is EMU-320 17 (136 units), and the price per unit is 5.2 billion won.
The EMU-320 is a next-generation high-speed train that can reach speeds of up to 320㎞ per hour.
Earlier, Woojin Industrial Co., a small and medium-sized railway vehicle manufacturer, participated in the bidding, forming a competitive bid for the first time in 17 years, but Hyundai Rotem succeeded in winning the order as it was eliminated due to technical disqualification.
