[Apha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Hana Securities raised SM's target price from 145,000 won to 165,000 won on the 3rd. It is an upward trend after offering 80,000 won in August 2021.

"NCT Dream recorded a surprise when it came back with 4.2 million pre-orders. We raised the estimate after a long time. The success of RIIZE will be the most important momentum," said Lee Ki-hoon.

"The stake of HYBE, the second-largest shareholder, can be a supply-demand variable depending on the situation. If the sale of subsidiaries such as Keyeast and C&C, which are considered as non-core assets, is successful, the valuation is likely to be raised further."

SM's sales and operating profit in the second quarter are 239.8 billion won and 35.7 billion won, respectively. Operating profit consensus is over 31.2 billion won.
