[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] A week after Doosan Enerbility recently signed a KRW 1.1,500 trillion contract to build a power plant in Kazakhstan, it also won an order in Uzbekistan.
The Doosan Enerbility said on the 22nd that it has received an order from Harbin Electric in China to launch a contract to supply materials for Uzbekistan's 'Syr Darya 2-stage natural gas power plant' (NTP·Notice to Proceed).
The contract, worth 60 billion won, is the first order in Uzbekistan to supply equipment to a power plant in the state of Syr Darya, 150 kilometers south of the capital Tashkent.
The 1,600-megawatt power plant will be built for commercial operation in 2026, and Doosan Enerbility will supply 500-watt steam turbines and generators under the contract.
