S. Korea-US Foreign Ministers held lunch meeting in Seoul on the 18th

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] The Korea-U.S. Foreign Ministers' Meeting between Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yeol and U.S. Secretary of State Antony John Blinken will be held in South Korea on the 18th.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Lim said in a regular press briefing on the 14th, "It will be held in the form of a luncheon meeting."

The talks will discuss common concerns such as democratic cooperation between the two countries that share values such as freedom, human rights and the rule of law, ways to strengthen the South Korea-U.S. alliance, and the global situation on the Korean Peninsula, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Minister Blinken's visit to Korea came on the occasion of the "Third Democratic Summit" to be held in Seoul from the 18th to 20th of this month.

He is said to enter the country through Osan Air Force Base in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi-do on the 17th.

Meanwhile, Minister Blinken is scheduled to leave Korea for the Philippines on the 18th.
