[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Hanwha Systems announced on the 19th that it has signed a license production contract with Collins Aerospace (Collins Aerospace), a global aerospace system company, to promote the Public Notice Radio Performance Improvement (SATURN) project.

The improvement of the performance of public communication radios is a project to install next-generation radios in the South Korean military's Army, Navy and Air Force air power by 2028 to respond to jamming (radio interference) technology that is rapidly evolving due to the development of wireless communication. Hanwha System won a 95.8 billion won 'Public Communication Radio Performance Improvement Project' in May.

This contract requires Collins to transfer production technology and provide a local production license so that Hanwha System can complete assembly production (CKD) of the same SATURN radio as the Allied forces. This is the first time Collins has established an CKD facility system outside the United States.
