[Apha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Coupang announced on the 12th that more than 12,000 small and medium-sized companies entered Taiwan through Coupang as of the end of September this year after launching direct rocket purchase and rocket delivery in Taiwan in October last year.

According to the National Statistical Office, the number of small and medium-sized companies in Korean consumer goods exported overseas last year was 42,592, and considering that more than 12,000 small and medium-sized companies entered Taiwan through Coupang, the figure is about 28 percent of the total. This means that three out of 10 small and medium-sized companies exporting consumer goods in Korea are large enough to export to Coupang.

Coupang has successfully transplanted a fast rocket delivery model proven in Korea into Taiwan and is gaining popularity by offering exceptional consumer benefits.

The Coupang app has been the number one shopping app downloader in Taiwan since the second quarter due to its wide selection, reasonable price and fast delivery.

Of the millions of products currently sold in Taiwan, 70% are from Korean small and medium-sized enterprises. Taiwan's export volume has been on a steady rise this year as exports of small and medium-sized enterprises through Coupang increase.
