[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Kang Ho-sung, CEO of CJ Corp., the holding company of CJ Group, is said to have recently expressed his intention to resign.

According to the business community on the 27th, CEO Kang recently conveyed his intention to resign to the top management of the group. However, Kang's resignation has not been accepted.

Kang is currently on a business trip abroad, and is also performing his duties as a representative of management support.

"The exact background of his resignation is not known," a business source said. However, there are cases in the business community where they resign in advance in consideration of the decision of the final personnel authority ahead of the CEO-level personnel reshuffle, and it is said that CEO Kang also applies to this.

Kang, a former prosecutor (31st judicial examination), joined the CJ ENM (formerly CJ E & M) in 2013 after serving as a lawyer. In 2018, he was promoted to vice president of CJ's management support division and served as CEO of CJ ENM from 2020.
