[Apha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] CJ Korea Express will operate Anseong MP Hub Terminal and solidify its position as the No. 1 courier in the delivery sector. It is a strategy to take market leadership by overwhelming other companies in productivity and cost competitiveness.
According to CJ Korea Express on the 12th, 'MP Hub Terminal', which introduces MP, an automatic classification system for small products, will be operated in Anseong, Gyeonggi-do. The Anseong MP Hub Terminal, the second largest after Icheon, has a total area of 12,000㎡, the size of two soccer fields, and can handle 2 million small products a day.
MP is an automation facility that classifies small products collected from all over the country by region. CJ Korea Express introduced it for the first time in the industry in 2019 to efficiently handle small products with the growth of e-commerce. As consumer-ordered products become smaller, the work productivity of small products is considered a key factor that determines service competitiveness and profitability. Actual small products (width × height x height of less than 100㎝) account for more than 75% of CJ Logistics' total volume.
The biggest feature of MP hub terminal is high efficiency. It is operated by tying small products in the same destination into hang bag units (20 to 25 units) through the MP installed at the subterminal, sending them to the MP hub terminal, and then classifying them and sending them back to the subterminal in the final delivery area.
