[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] KG Mobility (KGM) announced on the 5th that it will supply Rexton Sports vehicles to the Peruvian Army in cooperation with trading company STX.

The initial supply will consist of around 400 units this year, with plans to expand to approximately 2,000 units by next year.

Through this supply agreement, KGM aims to actively meet the Peruvian Army’s needs by providing a range of vehicles, from standard models to specially purposed ones.

In 2016, KGM’s predecessor, SsangYong Motors, supplied around 2,000 Rexton vehicles to Peru for police use.

The Rexton Sports model has a strong track record of international exports for official use, having been supplied to the UK’s Road Traffic Authority for road management in 2019 and to the Palestinian Ministry of Local Government for official use in 2020.

Domestically, it was selected as a command vehicle for the South Korean military in 2019 and 2022, earning recognition for its obstacle-clearing capability, quality, and safety.
