[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Four days after SK Hynix's labor and management reached a tentative agreement on wage negotiations, negotiations are on the verge of returning to square one. This is because the tentative agreement was rejected in a vote of union delegates.

According to related industries on the 30th, SK Hynix's technology union rejected a tentative agreement on wage negotiations between labor and management, which was drawn up on the 26th, in a vote of representatives. The union is expected to deliver its position to the company after an internal discussion.

Earlier, SK Hynix's labor and management came up with a tentative agreement that calls for setting a total wage increase rate of 4.5% in 2023 and implementing it at a time when quarterly operating profit turns into a surplus. However, it was reported that some members of the union complained about the timing of the turnaround to the surplus and the retroactive plan for the wage increase.
