[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] Samsung Electronics' management and its largest in-house labor union, the National Samsung Electronics Union (Jeonsamno), will resume negotiations for wage and collective agreements (WCA) on the 17th of this month. This comes approximately three months after their intensive negotiations in July.

Jeonsamno announced on a YouTube live broadcast on the 10th that a formal meeting between representatives from five unions within Samsung Electronics and the management's negotiation committee would take place on the 17th, marking the start of negotiations.

Prior to the main negotiations, Jeonsamno has proposed a preliminary working-level meeting on the 15th, though the specific negotiation agenda has not yet been finalized.

The main negotiations will be held three times over two weeks, with wage discussions scheduled for Mondays and collective agreement negotiations on Wednesdays.

In late July, Jeonsamno had intensive talks with management, but the negotiations broke down, leading to a series of guerilla-style strikes. Although the union lost its bargaining rights in August, they recently regained them, and the negotiation schedule was set through a working-level meeting held on the 8th.

Both parties will address unresolved issues from the 2023–2024 WCA as well as discuss the 2025 WCA during the upcoming negotiations.
