Doosan Bobcat has dismissed four executives after embezzlement allegations were uncovered in an audit of a subsidiary.

[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] Doosan Bobcat announced on the 26th that it had uncovered allegations of embezzlement involving former and current executives of its subsidiary, Doosan Bobcat Korea.

According to the company, an internal audit and management review of Doosan Industrial Vehicle, which was acquired in 2021 and is now known as Doosan Bobcat Korea, revealed embezzlement activities involving five former and current executives.

Doosan Bobcat Korea is currently a wholly-owned subsidiary of Doosan Bobcat.

As a result, Doosan Bobcat has dismissed four of the implicated executives. The remaining individual had already resigned, and the company is considering further action against them.

The embezzlement amount is reported to be in the tens of billions of Korean won.
