[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Kim Beom-soo, founder of Kakao and head of the Future Initiative Center, said he will answer whether major top executives, including Kakao CEO Hong Eun-taek, will be replaced by the end of this year.

According to the ICT industry on the 13th, founder Kim was asked by the labor union about the future of Hong and others at a staff meeting held at the headquarters in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, in the afternoon of the previous day, saying, "It does not seem to be an answer to me, who is not currently involved in management because it has to go through a board of directors and a shareholders' meeting."

It is interpreted as a statement that he will decide the future of CEO Hong and Kakao Entertainment's co-representative by the end of March next year.

Kakao's labor union said it will resume picket protests at the emergency management meeting next week and mobilize all its capabilities to fight until a clear conclusion is reached on management reform and personnel renewal.
