[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] A large amount of E. coli was detected during customs clearance in the unsalted butter products of France's high-end butter brand "Echire" and all of them were discarded during customs clearance.

According to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety on the 23rd, the Gyeongin Regional Food and Drug Administration ruled that the 'Echire Butter 250g' product did not meet the E. coli standard. Currently, all of the products have been disposed of.

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety is grasping the distribution volume for collection and inspection of the same product already distributed. If it is found to be inappropriate, the company will suspend or recall sales.

It is said that there is no actual distribution volume because all products that have been declared unfit have been discarded.
