[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) asked the Supreme Prosecutors' Office to investigate former and current executives and employees related to the smart platform business on charges of breach of trust worth 10 billion won on the 12th.

The smart platform business is an intelligent production system development project launched by KAI in April 2021. It is planned to invest 98.5 billion won over five years.

KAI explained that it requested the investigation because its internal management diagnosis of the smart platform business revealed a preliminary public offering with a specific company in the process of setting the initial business structure and selecting the company.

A KAI official said, "We will thoroughly investigate the truth and normalize the smart platform construction business."
