[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Yoon Kyung-rim, the current head of KT Group's transformation division, has been appointed as the next CEO to lead KT for the next three years.
KT's board of directors announced on the 7th that it has confirmed Yoon Kyung-rim, head of the division (president), as the next CEO with the agreement of all directors. Yoon is scheduled to officially take office as KT's CEO after approval of a regular shareholders' meeting at the end of March 2023.
Considering the requirements for CEO and opinions on the best KT's board of directors gathered from key stakeholders, KT's board of directors stressed that the CEO Candidate Review Committee focused on laying the foundation for sustainable growth, pursuing change and innovation based on DX capabilities, enhancing corporate value and strengthening ESG management.
Born in 1963, Yoon Kyung-rim works for KT He returned to KT after going through CJ and Hyundai Motor. It has been establishing a business strategy to improve synergy among group affiliates at the forefront of KT's management by leading the "blood alliance" between Hyundai Motor and CJ Group last year.
The board of directors explained that it was the best person to ultimately expand shareholder value.
