[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Incheon, September 29, 2025 – Incheon International Airport has announced new measures to reduce congestion and ensure passenger safety during celebrity departures.

On September 24, the Incheon International Airport Corporation hosted a roundtable at the Korea Airports Corporation headquarters with security service providers to discuss ways to establish a safer and more orderly environment for departures and arrivals. More than 20 representatives from the Airport Corporation, Incheon Airport Police, Korea Airports Corporation, and private security firms attended.

The meeting was convened in response to recent incidents where large crowds gathered to see celebrities off at the airport, raising concerns about disruptions and potential safety risks for general travelers.

During the session, participants reviewed security guidelines for managing high-profile departures and shared best practices aimed at fostering a safer departure culture.

Key measures discussed included requiring “Airport Use Plans” to be submitted prior to travel and reaffirming that all security escorts must comply with airport safety regulations and protocols. The corporation emphasized that these steps are intended to prevent unexpected incidents and maintain smooth airport operations for all passengers.
