[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Kakao Mobility is completely revising the dispatch policy for its platform, Kakao T Taxi. We plan to revise the artificial intelligence (AI) dispatch system policy and prioritize the shortest distance.

Kakao Mobility held a closed-door meeting with the Kakao T Blue Franchise Council on the 30th following four taxi organizations. Previously, Kakao Mobility held its first closed-door meeting with four taxi organizations and the Kakao T Blue franchise council on the 13th.

The meeting is said to have discussed the allocation system and ways to cut fees.

Specific measures were also proposed regarding the launch of the previously announced new franchise service. First of all, the commission rate will continue to be promoted from 5% to less than 3%.

Kakao Mobility plans to come up with concrete improvement plans within the year through further meetings in the future. "We held a working-level meeting with four taxi organizations and franchise councils on the 30th and formed a consensus on the reorganization of the allocation policy for fair distribution and the promotion of new franchise services with less than 3% of fees," a Kakao Mobility official said. "We will continue to discuss specific implementation plans and finalize them in December."
