[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] A tentative agreement on wages and collective agreements in 2023 prepared by POSCO's labor and management was approved through a vote by its members.

According to a vote conducted by the POSCO labor union of the Federation of Korean Trade Unions, a representative negotiating union among POSCO's multiple unions, on the 9th, 10,856 out of 11,245 voters participated in the vote, with 5,527 votes (50.91%) in favor and 5,329 votes (49.09%) against.

The main contents of the provisional agreement are △ increase in a basic wage of 100,000 won (170,000 won including natural increase) △ payment of 4 million won in shares △ 2.5 million won for emergency management alumni and 500,000 won in local gift certificates △ The introduction of a four-day work system every other week △ re-employment of 70% of retired retirees △ The formation of a task force to introduce a management incentive system and job pay system, and redesign job benefits.

POSCO will continue the tradition of labor-management disputes since its establishment in 1968 as negotiations for the wage and collective agreement reached smoothly this year.

POSCO's labor and management are scheduled to hold a signing ceremony for the 2023 wage and collective agreement on the 13th.
