Labor and management of HD Hyundai Heavy Industries tentatively agreed to raise the basic salary by 127,000 won

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Labor and management of HD Hyundai Heavy Industries succeeded in drawing up a second tentative agreement on wage negotiations this year on the 5th.

The second agreement included a 127,000 won increase in basic salary (including 35,000,000 won in salary raise) and 4.5 million won in incentives.

In addition, the agreement included △ formation of a special budget for the operation of recreation facilities △ formation of a task force to respond to the future shipbuilding industry △ formation of a task force to improve the system such as wage system △ overseas training of excellent members.

Compared to the first tentative agreement released on the 22nd of last month, 7,000 won in basic salary and 1 million won in incentives were added, respectively. The first agreement was rejected in a vote for and against union members on the 24th of last month.

The union members' vote on the second provisional agreement will be held on the 7th. The union canceled the strike it had announced on the 6th.
