[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] The Doosan Enerbility announced on the 8th that the qualification to participate in the bidding for the construction of the state, local governments, and public institutions will be limited until April 14 next year.

The qualification restriction is reportedly due to a problem caused by the company's project to convert fuel from Yeongdong Thermal Power Plant No. 2 (200mW-class), worth about 70 billion won in 2018 from Korea South-East Power Co., from coal to woody biomass (woodchip).

Doosan Enerbility's government-funded construction amounted to 1.6333 trillion won last year, accounting for 10.6% of its total sales.

"We will file a lawsuit for the suspension of the validity of the administrative disposition and the cancellation of the sanctions disposition," Doosan Enerbility said. "If we make a decision to suspend the validity of the administrative disposition, it will not affect our eligibility to participate in the bid until the cancellation of the administrative disposition."
