[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] It was found that the window of the train stopped at the vehicle base disappeared, and the Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) requested an investigation.
According to KORAIL on the 7th, one upper window of the elderly seat in a train room that was stopped at the Imun vehicle base in Seoul was found missing on the 4th.
There were no signs of scratches or glass damage to the frame of the window in question, so KORAIL believes an outsider broke in and took off the window.
KORAIL moved the train to the Imun Vehicle Office on the morning of the 5th and replaced the window using spare parts.
"The vehicle base is a restricted area, but someone seems to have invaded," a KORAIL official said. "We are waiting for the results after asking the railway police for an investigation."
Earlier on the 25th of last month, a man took off a window above the elderly seat from a train on Seoul Subway Line 2, put it in his bag, got off at Sindorim Station, and asked the police to investigate.
