[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] On August 11, LS Eco Energy announced that it has supplied approximately 2,000 km of transmission lines to Vietnam Electricity. The lines, which are used for overhead power transmission and installed on steel towers and poles, will be provided by LS Eco Energy's production facility in Vietnam.

The supplied lines will be used in a major transmission network connecting northern and central Vietnam, covering a distance of 600 km. This project is significant, connecting nearly half of Vietnam’s territory along its long and narrow shape.

The Vietnamese government plans to increase its power generation capacity from 100 gigawatts (GW) to 500 GW by 2050 to address power shortages. The government is expected to invest over 20 trillion won by 2030, with cable demand alone reaching approximately 2 trillion won.

LS Eco Energy is the only company in Vietnam with the capability to produce ultra-high voltage cables, and it anticipates continued revenue growth as a result of the expansion in power infrastructure projects.
