[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] The DB HiTek released its second-quarter report card. It was a disappointing result compared to last year due to the sluggish semiconductor industry, but it succeeded in rebounding compared to the first quarter.

On the 4th, DB HiTek announced that it recorded sales of 308.8 billion won and operating profit of 89.9 billion won in the second quarter of 2023 based on the Korea Adopted International Financial Reporting Standards (K-IFRS).

Sales rose 3.57% year-on-year and fell 29.13% year-on-year. Operating profit rose 8.37 percent on-year and fell 57.82 percent on-year.

DB HiTek explained, "Due to the global economic downturn that is affecting the overall semiconductor industry, sales and operating profit rose year-on-year, minimizing the impact of the decline in the industry. The operating profit ratio is 29%."

According to DB HiTek, power semiconductors have minimized earnings deterioration. Currently, the company has secured more than 300 related customers and plans to increase profitability by increasing the proportion of high value-added products in the automotive and industrial sectors in the future.
