[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] It has been confirmed that Vice Chairman Bae Kyung-tae, who was from Samsung Electronics and received attention as the first strategic planning director of Hanmi Science, the holding company of Hanmi Pharmaceutical Group, abruptly resigned earlier this month.

According to the industry on the 24th, Vice Chairman Bae resigned from his position as head of the Strategic Planning Office last week. The Strategic Planning Office was newly established when Vice Chairman Bae joined Hanmi Science in August last year. Bae was vice president of Samsung Electronics and was mainly in charge of organizational management at Samsung.

In response to Vice Chairman Bae's resignation, the company said, "The company resigned voluntarily according to its own intention that it is time to step down because it has established the role of the planning office and set direction as the first head of the strategic planning office."

The Hanmi Pharmaceutical Group initially established a strategic planning office to draw up the group's future strategy to mark the 50th anniversary of its foundation.
