[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] BTS is reportedly preparing a free live performance in the Gwanghwamun area to coincide with their comeback on March 20.
According to HYBE on January 19, the agency recently submitted a venue usage application to the Cultural Heritage Administration to hold a K-pop concert featuring BTS at the end of March near Gwanghwamun and Gyeongbokgung Palace. The tentative concert title is “K-Heritage x K-Pop Fusion Performance”, with proposed locations including Gyeongbokgung’s Geunjeongmun and Heungnyemun gates, the Gwanghwamun plaza and surrounding wall area, and Sungnyemun. The Cultural Heritage Committee is scheduled to review the application on January 20. A HYBE spokesperson said, “Details are still under discussion. Once the venue and schedule are finalized, we will announce them officially.”
If approved, the performance will select 15,000 to 20,000 spectators through a prior application process. The concert is expected to take place on either March 20, 21, or 22, coinciding with BTS’s comeback.
