[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] LG Display announced on Monday that it has begun mass production of the world's first 40-inch pillar-to-pillar (P2P) automotive display, which extends seamlessly from the driver’s seat to the passenger seat.

With this new milestone, LG Display has established itself as a company capable of producing large, stable, and high-quality automotive displays without size limitations.

The 40-inch P2P display will be featured in the Afeela, a next-generation electric sedan developed through a collaboration between Sony and Honda. Sony contributes its advanced IT and entertainment technology, while Honda provides its expertise in vehicle manufacturing. The fact that a Japanese automaker—known for its stringent standards—chose LG Display highlights the company’s industry-leading quality and competitiveness.

LG Display aims to provide a personalized infotainment experience for both drivers and passengers with the 40-inch P2P display. Additionally, the company plans to maximize the functionality of Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs), offering differentiated value to customers.
