[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Samsung Electronics and its labor union have reached a tentative agreement on the 2025 wage and collective bargaining agreement, which includes an average wage increase of 5.1% and the distribution of 30 company shares to employees. The National Samsung Electronics Union (NSEU) will conduct a vote among union members on the agreement until March 5.

The agreement was finalized on Monday, marking 48 days since wage negotiations began on January 7. This also concludes collective bargaining negotiations that had been ongoing since last year.

As part of the deal, Samsung Electronics will provide 200,000 points for its internal employee shopping platform (Family Net Mall) and 30 company shares to all employees. A joint labor-management task force (TF) will be formed to improve the performance-based incentive system, and a rehiring policy for employees with three or more children after retirement will also be institutionalized.

With this agreement, wage negotiations for 2023 and 2024 have also been completed. The NSEU will hold a vote on the agreement until March 5 to finalize the deal.
