[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] The North Korean hacking group Lazarus, reportedly under the Reconnaissance General Bureau, is believed to have targeted three European drone-related companies with cyberattacks since late March, according to Kyodo News citing cybersecurity firm ESET on December 22.

The targeted firms are involved in manufacturing components and software for drones used by the Ukrainian military. Malware analysis indicates that the attack methods resemble those previously employed by Lazarus. Kyodo News reported that the attacks were likely aimed at stealing confidential information on drone development.
