[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Seoul, South Korea — July 9, 2025 — South Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun has sold one of his three luxury apartments in the Galleria Foret complex, located in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, for KRW 8 billion (approx. USD 5.8 million), according to recent reports by Woman Sense.

Kim originally purchased the 170.98 m² (exclusive area) / 232.59 m² (gross area) unit in October 2014 for KRW 3.02 billion. The sale, finalized on July 3, 2025, marks a capital gain of nearly KRW 4.98 billion over 11 years.

Industry observers noted that Kim signed the sale agreement on June 27—shortly after becoming embroiled in a KRW 7.3 billion damage claim lawsuit filed by advertisers, leading to speculation that the sale may be linked to potential legal liabilities.

The medical device company Classys, one of Kim’s former advertisers, had placed a provisional seizure worth KRW 3 billion on one of his Galleria Foret units. In addition, Cuckoo International (Malaysia), a subsidiary of home appliance brand Cuckoo, filed for a KRW 100 million asset freeze on June 18.

Kim’s legal team acknowledged the lawsuits in a June 20 statement, stating: “While some advertisers have filed damage claims, we firmly believe these claims are baseless and stem from false allegations initially spread by YouTube channel GaSeYeon (Garo Sero Research Institute). There is no legal or contractual foundation for such compensation.”

Kim Soo-hyun has consistently denied rumors surrounding a past relationship with the late actress Kim Sae-ron, who was a minor at the time, and has filed legal action against GaSeYeon, its CEO Kim Se-ui, and Kim Sae-ron’s family for defamation and false accusations.
