[Apha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] The National Investigation Headquarters of the National Police Agency will prepare additional virtual asset tracking equipment.

The police, which preserved a total of 141 billion won worth of assets during the first half of this year, plan to expand equipment to give momentum to the confiscation and collection of virtual asset crime profits.

According to industry sources, the National Police Agency plans to prepare a new "Canalysis Storyline," a device for explaining and analyzing transaction flows between virtual assets, and renew nine licenses of "Canalysis Reactor All Assets," a device that provides 130 tracking functions, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and Lightcoin.

The National Police Agency introduced a U.S. chaeanalysis reactor program to the Cyber Security Agency in 2016 to track crimes such as digital sex crimes, hacking, ransomware and drug crimes using Bitcoin.

However, the number of concealment and disposal cases such as criminal proceeds using virtual assets has surged, making it difficult to track funds smoothly only with programs provided by the Cyber Security Agency. The police plan to set up a virtual asset tracking equipment dedicated to criminal revenue tracking.
