[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] On Monday, Naver announced that approximately 400,000 users have signed up for the pre-registration event of its new "Naver Plus Store App." The surge in traffic occurred within just six days, driven by Naver's promise to provide ₩1 million in Naver Pay points as a shopping incentive.

The Naver Plus Store App differentiates itself from Coupang with a hyper-personalized shopping experience. Leveraging AI-powered purchase guides, the app not only suggests relevant products based on user searches but also provides related lifestyle information. By integrating content from news, cafes, and blogs, Naver aims to optimize product recommendations.

To compete with Coupang’s popular dawn delivery service, Naver is strengthening its logistics network by offering a variety of delivery options, including same-day, next-day, Sunday, and scheduled deliveries. This will be supported by the Naver Fulfillment Alliance (NFA), a logistics partnership that includes major players like CJ Logistics and fulfillment startups such as Boomgo and Pasto.

Additionally, Naver is set to introduce free returns and exchanges, mirroring Coupang’s key membership perk, in an effort to retain users within its ecosystem.
