[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Hyundai Mobis is expected to release a "rollable display for vehicles" as early as three years.

Choi Jin-young, head of Hyundai Mobis' InfoDisplay Division, met with a reporter after the "2023 Media Tech Day" held at the Technology Research Institute in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province on the 26th and said, "We expect vehicles with rollable displays to come out within three years at the earliest." This is the first time that the expected launch date of a rollable display for vehicles that rolls up and down has been unveiled.

Hyundai Mobis will manufacture and supply information displays for premium vehicles of global automakers. According to the specifications requested by the customer company, panels are supplied to domestic and foreign display manufacturers and various core solutions are combined to complete them.

Hyundai Mobis predicted that its position as a global vehicle parts maker will help expand its infodisplay business. In other words, closer collaboration is possible as Hyundai Motor Group and other global automakers have customers. In fact, this year, the company beat its biggest competitor, Japan's Aisin, to become one of the top five global parts makers (excluding battery companies) after Bosch, Japan's Denso, Germany's ZF and Canada's Magna.

Infodisplay is expected to contribute greatly to Hyundai Mobis' performance improvement in the future. The company's target for overseas orders for the battlefield field this year is $ 1.83 billion (about 2.38 trillion won).
