Financial Supervisory Service seizes and searches KB Kookmin Bank for 'use of undisclosed information'

[Apha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] The Financial Supervisory Service raided KB Kookmin Bank over allegations that KB Kookmin Bank employees pocketed KRW 10 billion in unfair profits using undisclosed information.

The Financial Supervisory Service's Capital Market Special Judicial Police raided the headquarters of KB Kookmin Bank in Yeouido, Seoul, today (23rd) and secured related data.

The employees are suspected of making 12.7 billion won in profits after purchasing the stocks in the name of themselves and their family members using information they learned while working on behalf of the free capital increase of 61 listed companies from January 2021 to April this year.
