[Alpha Biz= Reporter Paul Lee] On the 17th, Humasis announced its acquisition of Blade Entertainment, the largest shareholder of Kyungnam Pharmaceutical. As a result, Humasis plans to enhance business synergies among its affiliates in the bio, pharmaceutical, and entertainment sectors.

Blade Entertainment holds a 19.84% stake in Kyungnam Pharmaceutical, and Humasis will secure a 34.80% stake by purchasing 13,794,387 shares of Blade Entertainment for 48 billion won.

Kyungnam Pharmaceutical has established its own pharmaceutical production facilities and built a distribution network of over 22,000 pharmacies in South Korea. It has also expanded its presence to convenience stores, large supermarkets, and health & beauty stores.
