LX Semicon appointed Lee Yoon-tae, former president of Samsung Electro-Mechanics, as the new CEO

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] LX Semicon announced on August 8 that it has appointed Lee Yoon-tae as chief executive officer (CEO) in 2024.

After earning a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Seoul National University and master's and doctorate degrees in electrical engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Lee served as head of the Development Division at Samsung Electronics' System LSI Division, head of the LCD Development Division at Samsung Display and CEO of Samsung Electro-Mechanics. At the time of Samsung Electro-Mechanics' management, it was praised for leading Samsung Electro-Mechanics' record-high performance by making bold investments and improving its overall constitution.

"We have appointed a new CEO with abundant corporate management experience and excellent capabilities and expertise in semiconductor and other parts business to prepare for an uncertain business environment and prepare for the future," LX Semicon said.

In this executive personnel reshuffle, Han Young-soo was promoted to executive director, and Park Jung-hyun, a senior researcher, was newly appointed as director.
