[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Former Dow Kiwoom Group Chairman Kim Ik-rae, who has been under fire for the stock price crash, is likely to be the "annual salary king" who received the highest pay among CEOs of securities firms in the first half of this year after receiving more than 2 billion won in severance pay.

According to a semi-annual report submitted by securities firms to the Financial Supervisory Service on the 11th, former chairman Kim received 2.89796 billion won in remuneration in the first half of this year. The amount adds KRW 465.67 million in salary, KRW 165.43 million in bonuses and KRW 2.26483 billion in severance pay.

Chung Il-moon, CEO of Korea Investment & Securities Co., who was the king of annual salary last year, received 2.859 billion won and fell to second place. This is a big difference from the same period last year (5.51826 billion won). At that time, CEO Chung's bier was 4.66446 billion won, which is about 2.2 billion won more than this year, but his salary is similar to that of a year ago. Kim Nam-gu, chairman of the Korea Investment Finance Holdings Co., received 1.96 billion won in the first half of this year.

Lee Eo-ryong, chairman of Daishin Financial Group, has a total remuneration of 1.24 billion won. Yang Hong-seok, vice chairman of Daishin Financial Group, received 1.099 billion won, the second largest amount after his mother, Lee. Vice Chairman Yang, the third-generation founder, took over as chairman of Daishin Securities' board of directors, which Chairman Lee was in charge of, in March.

Chung Young-chae, CEO of NH Investment & Securities, also received only 953 million won due to a decrease in bonuses. Kim Won-kyu, president of eBEST Investment & Securities, earned 778 million won in the first half of the year.
