[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Hanwha Ocean announced on the 6th that it has signed a total of four MOUs with four Canadian companies for the Canadian submarine business.

Hanwha Ocean attended the Deep Blue Forum 2023, a Canadian submarine forum in Ottawa, Canada, and signed business agreements with CAE, J-Squared Technologies, Modest Tree and Des Nedhe.

These Canadian companies are competitive in simulators and electronic components manufacturing, virtual reality (VR) training equipment, and submarine-related facilities construction and logistics.

The Canadian government is recently seeking to introduce a new submarine to replace the Navy's four Victoria-class submarines, which is seeking to strengthen its defense and maritime operational capabilities. Hanwha Ocean exported the world's fifth submarine and developed the world's eighth 3,000-ton submarine independently.
