Hyundai Motor and LS Group Discuss Business Cooperation with Telangana Chief Minister

[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] Hyundai Motor Co. and LS Group met with Indian Prime Minister Levans Ready and discussed ways to cooperate in business (photo). Telangana, in southern India, has emerged as India's information technology (IT) hub in recent years by attracting Microsoft and Google.


According to industry sources on the 18th, LS Group Chairman Koo Ja-eun met with Prime Minister Reddy, who visited Seoul at LS Tower in Yongsan-gu, Seoul on the 12th, to discuss ways to cooperate in investment in electricity, electric wires, gas and energy and batteries. Vice Chairman Myung Noh-hyun and President Ahn Won-hyung were present at the meeting.

LS Cable & System established an Indian production corporation (LSCI) on 162,000 square meters of land in Bawal, Haryana, northern India, in 2008 and supplies power, communication cables and parts.

Yang Hee-won, head of Hyundai Motor and Kia R & D (President), met with Prime Minister Ready the next day (13th). According to Prime Minister Ready, the two sides reportedly exchanged views on how Hyundai Motor will establish a "mega test center" in the state of Tellanga through the Indian Institute of Technology (HMIE).
