[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Police investigating Indonesian engineers' attempt to leak data on the Korean supersonic fighter KF-21 raided the Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) on the 15th.

It came 24 days after a joint government investigation team consisting of the Defense Acquisition Program Administration, the Defense Counterespionage Command and the National Intelligence Service asked the national investigation headquarters of the National Police Agency to cooperate in the investigation into Indonesian engineers A and B on Feb. 21.

The security investigation department of the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency sent about 10 investigators to KAI in Sacheon, South Gyeongsang Province, around 9 a.m. to secure related data from two business computers, A and B.

On the previous day, he also raided A's residence and KAI office to secure data related to the incident.

A police official said, "As the investigation is underway, we can not tell you except that we seize and search for charges of violating the relevant Defense Acquisition Program Act."

A and B, who previously worked at KAI headquarters in Sacheon, were caught on Jan. 17 while trying to leak a mobile storage device (USB) containing a number of data, including the KF-21 development process.
