[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] LS Cable & System announced Thursday that it has secured a high-voltage cable supply contract worth approximately 200 billion KRW (around USD 150 million) from Singapore’s national power authority.

The project is part of a major power transmission initiative linking Indonesia and Singapore. Under the turnkey contract, LS Cable will supply 230kV-class high-voltage underground cables connecting to substations. The contract covers the entire process from manufacturing and construction to installation.

Singapore is aiming to convert 25% of its total power supply—approximately 6GW—to renewable energy by 2035. As the country has opted to build its power grid entirely underground without transmission towers, there is strong demand for high-value-added underground cables in the region.
