[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] It has been confirmed that the prosecution is investigating former and current employees of Samsung Electronics on charges of breach of trust worth 7 billion won.

According to investigators on the 16th, the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office's Criminal Affairs Department 4 (chief prosecutor Hong Seung-hyun) is investigating three people, including a former employee of Samsung Electronics, on charges of breach of trust and other charges under the Specific Economic Crime-weighted Punishment Act.

Samsung Electronics sued them, claiming that A and others delivered tablet PC packages to the Egyptian Ministry of Education and conspired with local companies to raise the unit price and steal 7 billion won in the difference.

Mr. A and others are said to deny the charges.

"It is true that we are investigating the case after receiving a complaint," a prosecution official said. "We cannot confirm the details of the investigation."
