[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Doosan Corporation reported a decline in operating profit last year due to sluggish performance from its subsidiaries.

On the 19th, Doosan announced that its consolidated revenue for 2024 was KRW 18.13 trillion, down 5.2% from the previous year, while operating profit decreased by 30.1% to KRW 1.0038 trillion. The company attributed the decline to heightened uncertainties and delayed recovery in the global construction sector, which weighed on its subsidiaries' performance.

Specifically, Doosan Enerbility’s operating profit fell by 30.6% to KRW 1.0176 trillion, while Doosan Bobcat’s operating profit declined by 37% to KRW 871.4 billion.

However, Doosan Enerbility’s order intake reached KRW 7.1314 trillion, surpassing its annual target. This year, the company aims to secure orders worth KRW 10.7 trillion, focusing on core projects such as the Czech nuclear power plant.

Doosan Corporation’s standalone business recorded revenue of KRW 1.3771 trillion and an operating profit of KRW 141.1 billion.
