[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Chinese electronics company Xiaomi introduced its first electric car. As attention was focused, orders exceeded 50,000 units in less than 30 minutes after its launch.

According to local media in China on the 29th, Xiaomi launched its own new energy vehicle (NEV) model, SU7, the afternoon before.

The vehicle was introduced in three models: the SU7, the SU7 Pro, and the SU7 Max. The SU7 costs 215,900 yuan (about 40.12 million won), the SU7 Pro costs 245,900 yuan (about 45.7 million won), and the SU7 Max costs 299,900 yuan (about 55.73 million won). The company claims that the basic SU7 model is 30,000 yuan cheaper than the Tesla Model 3, which is set at the same level.

SU7 and SU7 Max will be delivered to customers by the end of next month and SU7 Pro by the end of May.

According to Xiaomi's official Weibo, orders exceeded 50,000 units in 27 minutes. The exterior looks like a Porsche.
