Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun received an annual salary of 12.2 billion won last year

[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun received an annual salary of KRW 8.21 billion from Hyundai Motor last year. Adding its affiliate Hyundai Mobis' annual salary, it received about 12.2 billion won.

According to a business report released by Hyundai Motor on the 13th, Chairman Chung Eui-sun, who also serves as CEO of Hyundai Motor, received a total of 8.21 billion won from Hyundai Motor last year, including 4 billion won in salaries, 4.2 billion won in bonuses and 1 million won in other earned income. It increased by 1.21 billion won from 7 billion won in 2022.

Hyundai Motor explained, "It comprehensively reflected the duties and positions of the CEO and chairman, the period of service, leadership, expertise, company contribution, and human resources development."

Adding to the annual salary he received at Hyundai Mobis, which also serves as CEO, Chung received a total of 12.21 billion won last year. Chung received 4 billion won from Hyundai Mobis, including 2.5 billion won in salary and 1.5 billion won in bonuses. Chung did not receive an annual salary from Kia last year.
